Are you ready to fill your week with the dark and creepy? Of course you are, it's Monday, and that means you'll all be chomping at the bit for a new Macabre Monday challenge at the Haunted Design House.
Ok, my little pretties... your challenge this week:

Smudgetastic
You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based project using images that have been colored/rendered with charcoal, pencils, pastels, or chalk. (similar digital techniques allowed) And this week the prize will be some digis from our very newest Minion, Andrea. We've all worked with her images this week and it's been such fun! Mine's a 4x4 and it isn't nearly as dark and beautiful as some of the other pieces, AND you can barely see my smudged colouring, but it does make me laugh, which I always enjoy when crafting :P Papers are from the Creature Feature set at Crafty Chaos Designs.
Here are the challenges I'd like to enter:

Re-use, renew, recycle!

It's time for another Corrosive Challenge and this week we'd like you to re-use or recycle something. Now, since more and more of my craft stash is digital, it means that everything is re-used all the time, so I used some creative license here, and created some torn newsprint and those hearts could be punched from any plain card that was previously used to package your groceries ;)
These are the challenges I'd like to enter:

Shades of you!

We have another fun challenge for you at StampInsanity this week. Beth has asked us to create a card in shades of our favourite colour. Now, if you ask me what my favourite colour is, it's purple. Automatic and un-thinking, I love it. BUT, a few of the Groovy Gals had also chosen purple as their favourite colour and, when it comes to cards, for some reason if I can't use other colours, I totally totally love teal. So I decided to go a teal/turquoise route and this is what I came up with. I have to admit, I'm really pleased with this one :) Image is Lilith by StampInsanity and papers are Broken Dreams by Crafty Chaos Designs.
Here are the challenges I'll be entering:

Hell hath no fury

This week's Macabre Monday challenge at the Haunted Design House blog is called "Hell hath no fury" and we want to see all your takes on wickedly wanton female revenge. Bitter, twisted, and spiteful, bring it on! You really need to check out the work the other Minions have done for this one, they've outdone themselves. Seriously, these women are SCARY! :P

I used Elizabeth 1 from The Octopode Factory for my piece, and I bought it this weekend, so that will be my qualifier for the "new" challenges. I thought I'd giver her a Queen of Hearts look, what do you think? Lily does have a fantastic Queen of Hearts digi, but I thought there were just too many hearts for this particular project, so I went for one of her other queens and adapted :)

Lace and Pearls and Kenny K!

This week at Corrosive Challenges we'd like to see you use some lace and pearls on your card/project. And that doesn't mean you have to do something beautifully vintage, although of course you can if you want to. But you can also use pearls and lace and still keep things edgy, if that's your thing. I've used a Kenny K image (don't forget he's our sponsor this month) with black lace and maroon pearls. The image is Kitty Katastrophe by Kenny K and the papers are from the Skullentine set at Crafty Chaos Designs

Let it all hang out!

At StampInsanity this week, we want to see you "Let it all hang out"
Now, while your wardrobe choice for today is entirely up to you, and you're absolutely free to flash your bits to whomever you please, I think Beth is talking about your craft creations. We want to see things overhanging the edges (again, lol, I'm not talking about my tummy :P)
My card uses the fabulous Angelika from the Devil Dolls at StampInsanity, and the papers and skulls are from the Skullentine set at Crafty Chaos Designs.

You WILL have a good time! :P

When I was still in primary school, two of the boys in my class had tried to slip away un-noticed because they had decided that the school Christmas party was beneath them, and I can vividly remember one of the teachers dragging them along the corridor saying "You WILL attend the Christmas party and you WILL have fun!" It amuses me still, and this New Year's card has the same feel, I think. You just wouldn't dare to NOT have a good time, would you? :P
The image is a digi called Vicky by Stamp It Crazy, and the paper comes from Admiring the Lovelorn by Crafty Chaos Designs.
These are the challenges I made it for:

New Year Resolutions!

Macabre Monday at Haunted Design House is back! Hurrah hurrah, hurrah, I love being able to give free rein to my darker side :D This WONDERFUL screaming digi is by Andrea, who has agreed to join the HDH team as a Minion! :D For our first challenge of 2011, we'd like you to think about those New Year resolutions that may be well-intentioned, but that you never follow through on. Or, because we're like that, those resolutions that aren't even vaguely well-intentioned :P
Here are the challenges I'm entering:
Order of the Opus Gluei - anything new, or year, or baby. Well, as Meatloaf said, two out of three ain't bad :P
Crazy Amigos - new year
Riley and Co. - new year resolutions
Cards and More - distressed
For Fun Challenges - new year
Aud Sentiments - anything goes
Gingerloft Creations - distressing
Incy Wincy Designs - ATC
Kaboodle Doodles - anything goes

Valentine Emos preview, Day 3!

Simply Betty Stamps are previewing the new Valentine Emo line at the moment, and as guest designer I get to join in! The Valentine Emos will be available in digi form on Friday January 7th at 12 noon. Pre-orders for the Rubber versions will open at that time as well, however the rubber will start shipping Feb. 1st. This little hunk of fun is Christian, poor Christian always seems to get put into costumes, but he put his foot down this time and refused to take off his normal clothes underneath. Maybe he has a concave chest or hairy knees that he doesn't want to expose?

Papers are from the Zombie Catwalk set at Crafty Chaos Designs Pop over to the Simply Betty Challenge blog to see the rest of the DT creations, and, if you missed days 1 and 2, you can see Valentine's Rio and Betty over there too :D
And with my so-new-he's-not-even-in-theshop-yet-digi, here are the challenges I'd like to enter:
Sparkles Forum Challenges - new things. Not really an entry as I'm sponsoring this week, but it gives me a chance to say "Hey, go enter, the DT have done some BEAUTIFUL inspiration pieces" :P
One Stitch At A Time - anything goes
Paper Sundaes - something new
Digital Tuesday - anything goes
My Time to Craft - brand spanking new
Top Tip Tuesday - embellishing
Scrappy Frogs - sentiments
Drunken Stampers - use something new

Feeling Corrosive?

I have a shiny new DT badge! I won a Corrosive Challenge last year and got the chance to be GDT for Corrosive, and when Janet found she had a spare DT slot, she asked me if I'd like to join permanently. They're a fantastic bunch over there, and the challenges are always fun, so of course I said "Yes!" :D Whether your style is dark and edgy, cute and cuddly, or completely off the wall and esoteric, we want to see it, so come on and join in. And the sponsor for this month is Kenny K, so for a chance to win some of his fantabulous images, come and join in :D
The challenge this week is Purple and Yellow, a combination that colour wheels always recommend but that I just couldn't get to work until quite recently. If you look at the other DT samples you'll see such a wide range of shades that it doesn't sem like we were all working to the same colour scheme at all!

My card uses a freebie image from Tiddly Inks and papers from The Princess and The Pea set at Crafty Chaos Designs.
These are the challenges that I'd like to enter:
What If? Wednesday - I followed sketch D2910
Cupcake Craft Challenges - Thank you
Papertake Weekly - thank you
Fab n Funky - quick and easy. Hardly any embellishments and very little colouring, just some simple layering of papers and a sentiment make this a remarkably simple card for me :)
C.R.A.F.T. Challenges - thank you
Cute Card Thursday - thank you
Winter Wonderland - thank you
Allsorts - thank you
Phindy's Friday Challenge - thank you
