Moving house card

Hello again, I'm back with my latest. The image was a freebie from Digital Ink Co. - you get a free stamp to play with each week if you sign up to their newsletter.
And I made it with three challenges in mind.
The Colour Q challenge 19 is to use Regal Rose, Barely Blush, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip and white on your project.
The Papertake Weekly challenges is to follow the sketch, which I have.
And the Floral Fantasies blog is running a Sir Stampalot challenge and blog hop. The theme is Moving, because Sir Stampalot are moving to new premises, sadly, still not next door to me, but bigger and better anyway :P

Pops birthday card

Hello folks, here's my latest. The stamp is by Stitchy stamps, and lol, he's such a cheerful-lloking chap, I was completely de-stressed while working on him as he just makes me feel like chuckling :D I've included two pictures because one looks redder than it does in real life, and one looks blu-er. It's actually somewhere in between the two.



I've made him for a few challenges, here they are:

Birthday card and a 4x4

These are what I was working on over the weekend, two absolutely fab digi stamps, I love them both :D


This stamp is one of the new ones by Stitchy, isn't she just fantabulous? I really wanted to add some glitter to her wings, but I've been completely unable to find my clear Sakura Stardust pen. I've actually bought three of the darn things, but for some reason I get to use them just once or twice and then they disappear for ever. I think one of the cats must be hoarding them somewhere :P I did everything in PSP again, lol, you didn't really expect anything else did you? :P

I know this isn't a Valentine's piece, but I have specifically made a hearts paper for it and put kisses on the sentiment, and it will be sent with love. I think maybe we view Valentine's Day slightly differently here in the UK than in the US, as many of you seem to be sending Valentine's cards to lots of different people. Here, you pretty much only send one to your romantic partner, or to someone in whom you're romantically interested. Anyway, that's why it isn't really a Valentine's acrd, I just hope the hearts and kisses and love make it count :)


And this one is a birthday card using a digi stamp by Beary Dust stamps. And she's currently a free gift for follwoers over at the blog :D
I'm entering this one into a couple of challenges.

The colour scheme over at One Stop Craft Challenge is Apple Green, Chocolate and Clotted Cream. I'm not sure that I'd like that combo taste-wise, but I love it colour-wise :D
And, last but not least, one of the challenges over at the JJ forum is to make something green :D

Moon darkeness

After the comments on my raven piece, a couple of people pointed me in the direction of two more challenge blogs with a darker theme than normal. (Thanks guys!) And both of them had challenges up to do with the moon, although I'm too late for one of them now.

So, I came up with this, lol, it really looks like I've just plonked some stuff down on a background, but the background itself took me ages :P
I wanted to do something on the surface of the moon, with the Earth in the sky, and, as it grew, this is what I ended up with. Not particularly dark on its own, but I think the idea that the Man in the Moon used to have a friend but now only has a gravestone is sort of tragic. Poor guy! :P
The man and the gravestone cherub are both taken from images at Art Freebies, and the cherub is actually from a photo taken by the lovely June020202020202020202 herself. The rose vine is a cript frpm Daisy Doodles, and as a point of interest, the moon surface texture actually comes from a NASA photo, although I think it may be the surface of a moon other than our own. Two birthday cards

This first card was made following the current sketch over at the My Grafico blog, and it's also made with free stuff from their site. The paper I made from a swatch they have, and the birds silhouette stamp is another of their freebies.



And the second one is being entered into a few challenges. The scarecrow stamp is by Stitchy, and the flower was created with a script by Daisy Doodles, and I did the backing paper and sentiment in PSP.
The Daisy Doodles blog is having their first challenge, and it's a sketch to follow.
The Cute Card Thursday challenge is spots and dots, and lol, I think I managed to use just a few :P
And the Digital Ink Co. blog is also having their first challenge, in which you have to make a project using or for babies or pets, on a birthday theme, and using primary colours.

Macabre Raven - you have been warned! :P

On my browsing therough the Daily Dare blog (just great for finding challenges, I love it), I came across one called Haunted Design House - Macabre Monday, and the theme this week is Purple Haze. Since I can rarely resist purple, I came up with this, lol, it's different from my usual stuff, but don't say I didn't warn you! :P

Just Be Yourself

Another make from me, and I have to say that I'm pleased with the way this one has turned out. Although you can hardly see them, I'm really pleased with the two different papers that I did for the strips behind the image, and one of them was my first attempt at making my own damask paper, so you'll probably see more of that one. The image is from the new DezinaWorld fairies 2 sheet (which I love), the metal heart came from Mad About Cards, (only £1 for a whole bag of metal shapes and brads!) the gems were in my stash and everything else was done in PSP.



I followed the sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday

The fairy makes it count for the Flutterby Wednesday challenge, which is to use a fairy butterfly or angel in your project.

The current challenge at Crafty Creations is to use wings in your project.

The Belli challenge is to use ribbons. I hope a single ribbon counts, lol, I did definitely follow the rest of the guidelines, this was a bit that had been lying in my ribbon bag for so long that I'm actually covering up an un-identified bit of grunge (think it's glue :P) with the heart ;)

The ABC Challenge is "N is for New". My new items are the fairy and the heart.

And I'm also entering it into the ongoing DezinaWorld spot prize challenge. All you have to do for this one is to make any image from DezinaWorld and email it to the blog :)

Splish splash, I'm having a blast!

It's snowing yet again here and everything is white. So, this card cheers me up as it makes me think of spring rain, which will mean it's not too long before flowers start showing :D



I just got this cute digi from Stitchy Stamps, I think she's fab :D I've paper-pieced her coat hat wellies and umbreela, but I'm not sure if you can tell on the ain picture, so I've done a really bad close-up, lol, at least you can see it is paper pieced.
And I've made this with quite a few challenges in mind, so here's the list. And thank you to ALL of you for all the hard work you put into your challenge blogs, I love being able to look for challenges that actually inspire me, rather than tearing my hair out trying to finish one that I'm having trouble with. Sometimes your mojo just won't work to order, so YAY for all the choices crafters have :D

The Incy Wincy Designs challenge is to use a hat somewhere in your project.

The Sketch and Stash challenge is to follow the sketch and to use something new, which is my stamp since I just got it yesterday :)

The Pile It On challenge is "Enough of Winter Colours"

The Paperplay challenge is to make something pink white and green.

Stamping Dragon Designs February challenge

There's a new challenge going on over at Stamping Dragon Designs, and you get a whole free kit to work with, including 3 papers and a digi stamp :D There's also a sketch to follow, this is what I came up with :)

PS I just noticed that it's meant to be a Hybrid Project, and to be honest, I'm not really sure what that is. Hopefully this counts, I'm guessing it's making a real-life item out of something digital, sorry if I've made an error.

Birthday card - Hilda don't look!

This is a card I made yesterday for three particular challenges, but I just realised that the Monochrome challenge over at Scrap and Stamp blog is for scrapbook pages rather than cards, but I loved working with the challenge anyway, so they get a plug ;) It's for my friend Hilda, who is celebrating her birthday at the end of this week, please pop along to her blog and see her wonderful creations and leave some love :D

The image is from DezinaWorld, the pearls and ribbon were in my stash and the rest I did in PSP.
