Ok, I love love love digi stamps, they have really opened up a whole new world for me. I don't need to have a gazillion different coloured pens/pencils to get the colours I want (because I colour digitally, so literally millions of colours/shades to choose from) I can zoom in to colour all the smaller bits (have trouble with my eyes, so colouring in normal-sized images is difficult for me) AND, I don't have to waste sheets and sheets of paper because my stamping just isn't up to scratch.
But, I keep coming across images that are just stunning, and I can't find any digis in a similar style.
So, here are the sort of stamps I'm talking about; if you know where digi stamps in a similar style are available, I'd love to hear about them! :D

Prima Candy!
Want to be in with the chance of winning $100 candy from Prima? Silly question, I know, who wouldn't? Well, you have until tonight to get your name into the draw. There's a big HUSH HUSH secret coming out soon and the Prima blog are giving away the candy as a fore-runner to the news. Sadly, anyone who's as nosy as me will have to wait a few days before the secret is revealed, but get over to the blog right now to be in with a chance of the candy :)
Good luck!
Good luck!
Two "just because" cards :)

I have a couple of cards to share, both made with seperate challenges in mind.
The first one uses a free image from Fairy Colouring Pages and papers by me and was made for the following chllenges:
Firstly I followed the sketch at Friday Sketchers.
Dare you to Digi Stamp'c challenge is to use pearls and a digital image.
The Twisted Thursday challenge is to use hot pink somewhere on your card.
There's a new challenge blog called I Love Digi, and their first challenge is to Think Pink.
The One Stop Craft Challenge is to make something optimistically pink. (Spotted a theme here yet? :P)
And, after I'd found all those pink chaalenges, I knew what colour my card would be, so when I saw that the current Fussy and Fancy challenge is to be inspired by movies, I immediately thought of Pretty in Pink.
And finally the Raise The Bar challenge is "Three's Company", so I've gone made on threes. It's mostly three shades of pink - light, dark, amd bright. There are three strips of paper running behind the image. I used three pearls and three flowers, held together with three brads and each with three layers. And there are three winged creatures - the fairy in the image, a small butterfly on her arm and the metal dragonfly on the top corner.

And this second piece uses images and a background from the French set at DezinaWorld plus ribbon and buttons from my stash and flowers I made myself.
This one was made for:
Simon Says Stamp challenge, which is Vintage + Flowers
And I followed the sketch at Our Creative Corner
Thanks so much for stopping by! :)
OSAAT challenge 2!

It's time for the second challenge over at One Stitch At A Time, and we have a sketch for you to follow this week. We also have our very first sponsor, Karen's Doodles. Karen sells some beautiful digi stamps, please pop along to the blog and have a look.
For my card, I chose "Winter Angel" which is one of Karen's newer releases. I know it's not the right time of year for a frosty winter card, but I loved this image so much that I couldn't wait to start playing with her.
Thanks so much to all of you who entered our first challenge, please pop along to the blog to see who won all the candy and check out the new challenge, AND read about the exciting new changes in the pipeline ;)

Green Happy Birthday card

Here's a card I made this evening using Butterfly Love by Stitchy, again, no shop just at the minute, but I'll update as soon as you can get hold of the image.
I followed the sketch at Truly Scrumptious.
The Pixie Dust Studio challenge is to "Think Birthday"
The C.R.A.F.T. challenge is "ribbon and sparkle", and I used a ribbon for my bow, added glitter to her wings (no, I never found my pen, I bought another one :P), and added a flower gem on the bow.
The second For Fun challenge is to use a fairy.
The Flutterby challenge is to use a fairy, butterfly or angel.
The Creative Inspirations AND The Character Cafe challenges are both to make a monochrome piece. It should be fairly obvious, but in case something's gone wrong with the picture, everything is green.
Woohoo!

Yay, I've got back into the swing of things and made a couple of pieces today. One of them is a DT piece that will be revealed shortly.
The first one for today is a 4x4 using The Rehearsal set of digi stamps. You can't buy her images right at the moment, but a new store is in the pipeline and I'll update this as soon as possible.
I'm entering this into:
ABC challenge is "O for One paper"
Crafty Creations are having a "Cut it out and pop it up" challenge, which is exactly what I did with the hearts and the sentiment.
Our Creative Corner has a sketch which I followed.
The Playdate Cafe are having a colour splash challenge, so you get to play with black white and teal.
Cute Card Thursday's challenge is ribbon-tastic, and you have to use ribbon in your piece.

And this is a digital piece I made with the new sheet from DezinaWorld, called Cheri Shine. Thanks for popping by :)
It's a boox!

Hello everyone, here's my latest for a few challenges. It's called a boox because it can't make up its mind whether it's a book or a box ;)
One of the current challenges at Gingersnap Creations is to use your three favourite colours. I chose purple pink and green :)
The main image on the inside, on top of the drawers, follows the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge. Lol, it's a little hard to see that I've followed the sketch because of the papers I used, but if you enlarge it and follow the spots/stripes along, you can see all the appropriate strips. :)
The Stamptacular Sunday challenge is "Going in circles and lol, I went a bit mad designing my papers and put circles everywhere :P
And there's a brand new challenge blog called Oh Alice!, and their first challenge is "Alice Gets Glam", to be inspired by a picture of a gorgeous Urban Decay Alice-themed make-up set. I may have to explain a bit here, as my piece doesn't actually look much like the picture at all. However, the format/shape is the same (it opens like a book but then has slide-out drawers inside), and the outside is mostly black, but the inside reveals lots of colours.
The image is a digi stamp from Busy Beauties, and she's called Strawberry Lollita (although I've used the non-srtawberry version). I've obviously used her to represent a funky new Alice, and the text on the inner cover is taken from the first chapter of Alice in Wonderland.

Chinese dragon

This is my latest piece, which I've made for a few challenges.
The fifth Collage Obsession challenge is "Chinese"
The Inspiration Avenue challenge is Purple.
The Haunted Design House Macabre Monday challenge is Gothic Asian persuasion.
Thanks for looking :D

Emo birthday card and OSAAT reminder

I made this card for a few challenges, but now it's finished I don't think I like it :( It was going to be for my sister-in-law, who likes emo stuff and has a birthday coming up in a few weeks. Maybe it will have grown on me by then :P
The image is a freebie from Stamp Happens, she's called Maddie and she's fab, lol, I just don't think I've done her justice.
The challenges I was following are:
The Sherrod Studio Tuesday Throwdown challenge is distressing. As well as the obvious piece behind Maddie, I also gently distressed the green chequerboard pattern as well, but I'm not sure if you can see that.
The Papertake Weekly challenge is "Check this out" and you have to use a checked pattern somewhere, and I made my background to match.
The Tellen Place blog is having a birthday-themed challenge
The Easy Breezy Kewl Colour Challenge is to use the colours Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Soft Suede and Whisper White. I actually subbed a soft cream shade for the white, hope that's ok :)
The Character Cafe is a recipe challenge, and you have to use 1 digital image, 3 pieces of paper and 5 embellishments. The embellishments are 1 ribbon, 3 brads, and one gem in her hair. The pieces of paper I may have not done properly, I was counting the background piece os distressed card behind the image as one piece, the brown pattern as 1 piece and the green checked background as one piece. It wasn't until I was putting it together that I realised that I hadn't counted the sentiment piece, and then I realised that most people don't include the image piece either. LOL, all the boundaries get blurred a little when you print everything from your pc. So, I guess this card could count as having 2, 3 or 4 pieces of paper, depending on how you count :P
I followed the current sketch over at Sketch Saturday.
And the KL Stampin' Scrappin' blog is having a Go Green challenge, where you have to use an item that a non-crafter may have thrown away. My ribbon came from a piece that was tied around a pair of pyjamas I received as a Christmas gift.
And just a quick reminder, there's still a week to go to enter our very first challenge over at the One Stitch At A Time blog (OSAAT) there's some fab candy up for grabs, pop along to the blog to see all the details :D
Thanks for looking, it's all snow again here now, hope it's better weather wherever you are :)

Sent with love
I've made another card, and I've managed to make this one fit for several challenges.
The image is a freebie from SJ's Little Musings, and she's called Lilly. I did the papers and sentiment in PSP, and the brads ribbon and charm are unbranded stash Items (OSI, I have tons of them :P)

So, on to the challenges, lol, I always feel extra-pleased with myself if I've managed to make something with lots of challenges in mind, lol, it's like an extra little challenge for myself ;P
Stamp Scrap and Doodle's challenge is "charming"
I've followed the colours over at The Color Dare - deep plum/burgundy, pale lilac, black and a rich turquoise.
I followed a sketch over at the Sugar Bowl, but I've just realised you need to use a Sugar Nellie image to be included, grrrr, that's blown my streak :(
The Pixie Dust Studio challenge is also to use a charm.
The Cute Card Thursday challenge is Metal Mania (I feel like I'm cheating a little, using a single charm for three of my challenges, AND the sketch doesn't count, hmmmm, will have to do something to make me feel like a winner again :P)
And I also specifically made some plaid paper for another challenge, but I can't find it now. LOL, I guess it's just not my day :P
Weyhey, a quick trawl through the Daily Dare and I found it, it's If the Shoe Fits and they're currently having a Mad About Plaid challenge :D

Clown tears

I made another digital piece, for the following challenges:
Stamp It Crazy - Send in the clowns
Lots To Do challenge - use a machine. I'm hoping my pc counts, lol, it's my absolute crafting essential at the moment :P
Creative Inspirations - Say it in sepia
The clown is a public domain image, it's Enrico Caruso as the tragic clown Pagliacci. I added in bubbles, flowers, music and feathers, to represent more typical clown ephemera, and then toned all the colours out of it and gave it a washed sepia look, and added the text and frame.
