Necro Neckwear

This week's Macabre Monday challenge over at the Haunted Design House blog has a fab new sponsor; Kasket Kustom. She makes beautiful darkside wearables, and this week is your chance to get your very own design made into a pendant for you to cherish. All you have to do is to create a piece of art that could be made into a pendant. You don't need to have fancy-schmancy art skills (see my piece :P) just the inspiration to create something beautiful you could wear around your neck. Have a look at the shop for inspiration, some of the pieces are quite simple in design but stunning in their colours and accents. So come on, put away your stamps and create something original with a macabre twist.
I used a kitty I drew a while back, gave him a ribcage and a heart and then put him on some paper from the Broken Dreams set at Crafty Chaos Designs. I created a barb wire frame in PSP and voila! Yeah, ok, mine's nothing special but go have a look at what the other Minions have created. I figure their job is to inspire you with beautiful creations and mine is to encourage you by showing you items that you can easily do better than :P
Here are the challenges I'd like to enter:
Getting Crafty with Ann - animals
Sparkles Forum Challenge - metal
Pattie's Creations - anything but a card
Aud Sentiments - no sentiment

I felt like being mono :P

This post is for Andrea, aka Smudgetastic, who is celebrating her birthday today. Andrea, I'm sorry this is so late, I took ages to create something red and silver that I thought you'd like. It's really not a colour combo I'd have thought of on my own, but once I got the right shade of red, I'm really pleased with the result, and hope you like it.

Macabre Monday, and a cute baby zombie

Yay, it's time for another Macabre Monday challenge over at the Haunted Design House blog and this week we want you to use 6 of something 3 times, so, for example, you could have 6 brads, 6 circles and 6 letters. Or 6 punched shapes, 6 gems and 6 layers. Get the idea? We've called this one "Mark of the Beast", mwahahahahaha!
I'm sponsoring this one, and the winner will receive 6 items of choice from my shop, Crafty Chaos Designs, and I've just decided that everyone who enters can get a free item of choice as well, I'll go alter the main blog post in just a moment. :D
Now, the first card I made for this challenge ended up waaaaaaaaay too cute for a challenge titled "Mark of the Beast" so I did another one, but I'm going to post both here.

This is the first one, see what I mean? Way too cute, right? Don't tell the other Minions but I kind of love it, lol, and I've been singing the song since I started :P The image is Skelekinz Baby by Bugaboo Stamps, and the papers are from the Dirty Jeans & Lipstick set at Crafty Chaos Designs. I used 6 dark blue matting layers, 6 brads, and 6 pieces of ribbon to make the flower.

And here's my second card, much more suitable for a Macabre Monday challenge. I used 6 skulls in the frame, 6 candles, 6 oval embellishments and then I snuck in 6 words as well. The papers, including the main image, are from the Kiss of a Witch set at Crafty Chaos Designs.
Here are the challenges I'd like to enter with this one:
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - sketch

So what are you waiting for? Even if you don't have time to play along this week, I would love it if you'd pop over to the blog and wish Janet a Happy Birthday. She's a very special lady, and a wonderful DT co-ordinator.
This is the card I made following the sketch, and it is specifically for Janet's birthday. Have a wonderful, wonderful day, filled with smiles and laughter. And maybe just a little bit of wickedness :P

This week at the Haunted Design House we're having a Freaker's Free For All. That means that as long as your creation is suitably dark and macabre, there are no limitations. So let your freak flag fly, and bring out your most gruesome, twisted and deviant works of art. Time for some colour!

We have a fun colour challenge for you this week at Corrosive Challenges; you are to use turquoise and pink as the main colours in your creation. I created several papers in different shades of those colours to use, and kept on finding that they just weren't "right" So then I created a paper that was fully turquoise and decided to use pink matting layers, and I'm rather pleased with the way it turned out :) We're sponsored by Queen Kat Designs this month, so be sure to enter each week to increase your chances of winning.
