Vince's monsters, KT's challenge
I made this yesterday, but have been unable to take a picture until now because I had to re-charge the camera batteries.
KT has put up a challenge on her Mum's blog, here. She's provided us with a lovely sketch and the challenge to make a card for her parents' wedding anniversary. I do hope lots of you will have a go and encourage this up-and-coming young crafter :)
I've been wanting to use this image since I got it a few days ago, and it was such fun to work with. You can find this one, called Fairly Fairy, along with other great images, on Vince's blog, Crafty Moments. Thanks so much for the downloads :)
I used the pre-coloured image, since I'm still very much learning about colouring things digitally, and I love the shaded background but can't do it myself yet :P Then, I picked out about four of the colours in the image, and made some backing paper and matting layers and the sentiment in those colours. The gems, butterfly, ribbon and flowers all came from my stash.
Also, I've taken about 20 pictures so far, but it keeps coming out looking darker than it really is.
And yay, I finally worked out how to make the images here link to the full-size image, so if you click on the pic, the text will stop looking so fuzzy ;)
